The Evonik Group is seeking an Industrial Operator to join our Illinois production team in Mapleton. You will operate machinery along the production line, uphold safety and environmental standards, and assist with maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High-school education or equivalent; vocational training or job-related coursework preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing setting or relevant industrial chemical plant experience
• Safety training or emergency response experience preferred
• Ability to understand and operate a personal computer and related software
• Ability to manage time and priorities to meet daily plant requirements
• Ability to understand and carry out routine verbal and written instructions
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery or equipment to assist with production, packaging, and other steps along a production line
• May handle heavy machinery
• Follow safety and environmental protection procedures
• Observe and report incidents and unsafe conditions
• Assist with maintenance tasks and equipment repairs
• Support building equipment maintenance and safety inspections
• Manage time and resources to meet production and maintenance goals
• Perform other duties as assigned by production management
