Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Chemical Operator to operate processes and equipment while meeting production goals. The role emphasizes strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety standards and all SOPs/POPs with attention to detail.

You will participate in end-of-shift turnovers and ensure clear communication. Candidates should understand basic chemical reactions, handle hazardous waste, and operate related equipment safely on site.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years experience in basic chemical operations or related field.
• Ability to perform calculations converting between percentage and metric units.
• Understand statistics, probabilities and formula manipulation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical processes and equipment while meeting production goals.
• Maintain compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards.
• Follow SOPs/POPs and all procedures, including safety policies.
• Participate in end-of-shift turnovers with clear communication.
• Understand basic chemical reactions and properties in the work area.
• Handle and process Hazardous Waste as required.
• Operate equipment such as pumps, reactors, valves, and forklifts.
