Job summary

Prayon S.A. is seeking a skilled Chemical Production Operator to operate process equipment, ensure safe and efficient plant operations, and monitor chemical processes to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

The role requires 2+ years in chemical plant operations, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid grasp of safety protocols including HAZMAT handling and PSM. Training will cover equipment startups, shutdowns, and routine testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years chemical plant operator experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical processing and plant equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; familiarity with HAZMAT and PSM.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical plant equipment to ensure safe, compliant operation.
• Take samples and perform basic lab tests to verify process parameters.
• Record data, logs, and report deviations in process or safety conditions.
• Start-up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to identify process improvements.
