Job summary

VantageSpecialtyChemicals seeks a Production Technician for the Chicago Oleo Plant to support safe, efficient operation of chemical processes. You will control equipment, perform material transfers, and maintain strict adherence to cGMP and ISO procedures while documenting activities and participating in safety programs.

The role requires basic warehouse tasks, proficiency with automated control systems, and effective communication with team members and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in an industrial facility preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control the operation of chemical processes safely according to procedures.
• Maintain safe environment by enforcing safety and environmental rules.
• Attend and demonstrate proficiency in mandatory Safety training.
• Complete weekly safety audits and logs.
• Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in Production Technician skill blocks.
• Communicate and document operation status clearly for supervision.
• Perform material transfers and warehouse functions as needed.
• Operate forklifts and Trackmobile to move materials safely.
• Collaborate with team and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
