Job summary

Lubrizol in Spartanburg, SC, is seeking a Chemical Operator to operate, regulate, and monitor reactor units and auxiliary equipment for chemical manufacturing.

You will input production data in SAP, read batch sheets and SOPs, monitor instruments, and ensure safe, efficient batch processing. The role requires forklift experience and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, and rotating schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
• Minimum of one (1) year previous chemical operator experience, bulk chemical material handler or chemical manufacturing experience
• Understand and use percentages / fractions.
• Perform math necessary to scale baths and convert inches in a tank to pounds, to gallons of material.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, regulate, and monitor reactor units and auxiliary equipment to produce chemical products.
• Enter production data into the SAP system and complete shift logs.
• Read batch sheets and SOPs; monitor control panels and field instruments.
• Load and unload material containers using forklift equipment.
• Communicate shift information with team members and maintain safe operations.
