Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a dedicated 2nd Floor Batch Polymer Extrusion Floor Operator for our Spartanburg plant. The role involves operating the extrusion line, conducting sampling and inspections, and entering results into the database.

A second function includes lab-oriented duties such as analysis and recording outcomes, with retainer samples to be stored for further review. The position is full-time on a rotating 7-7 schedule, promoting start-up, run, and quality checks across cycles.

Qualifications

• Experience operating extrusion equipment following SOPs.
• Ability to perform sampling and visual inspection.
• Accurate data entry of analytical results into the database.
• Monitor process parameters and respond to abnormalities.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion line in accordance with SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Perform sampling, visual inspection, and chip weight analysis on outputs.
• Record results in the sample results database and report any anomalies.
• Coordinate with the Control Room Operator to ensure retainer samples are stored.

Job Description (Essential Function):

The Extrusion Floor Operator has two roles; the first role is the Extrusion Floor operator in this role the operator is responsible for cleaning, starting-up, running, sampling, monitoring, correcting and completing the extrusion process in accordance with all area Standard Operating Procedures.

After completing the extrusion process the next role is that of a Lab Technician in this role the responsibilities are to perform analysis, visual inspection and chip weight on all samples and send applicable samples to the lab; it is also your responsibility to enter the results of the analysis, visual inspection and chip weight into the sample results data base and report any abnormalities to the Control Room Operator.

Another responsibility is to make sure the Control Room Operator receives the retainer sample for further inspection and storing.
