LANXESS is hiring at its Charleston, SC plant for a production operator role. The position involves operating chemical processing equipment, DCS control, and maintaining paperwork and safe, efficient plant operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (an Associate's degree is a plus), strong mechanical aptitude, safety‑mindedness, teamwork, and the ability to wear a respirator. Onsite work with potential overtime and a compressed schedule is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Operate production chemical equipment including reactors, feeders, heat exchangers, piping, pumps, valves, and instruments.
• Perform DCS operations to control equipment.
• Maintain batch and shift paperwork.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace per procedures.
• Follow shift coordinator directions professionally.
• Prepare maintenance work orders and ready equipment for service.
• Minimize waste and follow waste handling guidelines.
• Report process upsets, spills, injuries, chemical releases, etc.
• Safely operate fork trucks and yard tractor with trailers.
• Do minor maintenance on production equipment as directed.
• Represent LANXESS in a safety‑driven, environmentally sound manner.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, QA, and distribution to fulfill plant duties.
