Job summary

DSM-Firmenich AG in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Chemical Operator to join our on-site production team on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, seven days a week. You will operate process equipment, monitor batch data, and ensure accurate production records in SAP and spreadsheets, while upholding GMP standards and safety practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least two years of chemical process experience, forklift certification, and a willingness to work overtime on a 24/7

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of chemical process experience.
• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Ability to drive a forklift and work overtime on a 24/7 rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor process equipment in area of responsibility.
• Maintain batch sheets, spreadsheets, control charts, and other documentation.
• Monitor process using GLC.
• Troubleshoot process & equipment problems, automation program, and provide support to Guardian teams.
• Ensure transfer of accurate production data into SAP and spreadsheets and inventory accuracy, including proper labeling of all inventories.
• Support PSM compliance: PCNs, safety committee, HAZOP, PSSR, etc
