PSI is seeking a Chemical Engineer for a direct-hire role at a large manufacturing plant. You will focus on process optimization, plant trials, and designing improvements with capital projects in mind.

You will support process safety activities, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives. This is a safety-critical, on-site position requiring 1–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 1–5 years of Process Engineering or similar experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with chemical manufacturing processes and process equipment preferred.
• Ability to apply chemical engineering principles to troubleshoot and design.
• Knowledge of Process Safety principles and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; can work across teams.

Responsabilités

• Perform process optimization studies, plant trials, and evaluations of existing chemical processes.
• Develop process design recommendations and scope for improvements and capital projects.
• Provide engineering assignments supporting capital projects and operations.
• Evaluate problems and develop practical design recommendations.
• Participate in PHA and Process Safety activities related to changes and operations.
• Prepare calculations, documentation, and other deliverables.
• Lead engineering work planning and scheduling and provide technical guidance.
• Support maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and plant leadership.
• Initiate improvement ideas and drive opportunities to project execution.
