Job summary

Prayon is seeking a Skilled Chemical Production Operator to operate and monitor process equipment, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation. You will adjust controls, take samples, and report deviations to maintain quality and uptime.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in chemical plant operations, familiarity with safety protocols including HAZMAT handling and PSM, and the ability to work independently or in a team within a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical cert preferred.
• Experience in chemical processing and plant equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of safety protocols including HAZMAT and process safety management (PSM).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical plant equipment and processes to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Adjust controls to maintain optimal process conditions and product quality.
• Take regular samples and perform basic lab tests to verify parameters.
• Record operating data, logs and report deviations in process or safety conditions.
• Start-up, shut down and troubleshoot plant equipment as required.
