Job summary

Dow Inc. in Texas is seeking an Operator to join Sabine River Operations. You will operate process equipment, monitor conditions, and work with the shift team to maintain safe, reliable plant performance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in a chemical manufacturing operations role or 3+ years of relevant military experience, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts including holidays and weekends. Dow offers a competitive benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in an Operations role within a Chemical Manufacturing environment.
• In lieu of a degree Dow will consider those with 3+ years of relevant military experience.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift schedule and overtime including Holidays and Weekends.
• Must have valid US Drivers License.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions, metrics, and control systems.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend required training.
• Conduct shift relief and handoffs to arriving shift team.
• Identify improvements using facility processes and change management.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train operations personnel on process operation and troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled operations tasks as needed.
• Respond to Immediate/Severe Weather events as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate degree in Process Plant Technology or related field (preferred)

Military experience 3+ years (in lieu of degree)
