Job summary

Dow Inc. in Orange, Texas, is seeking an Operator to manage plant operations safely and reliably. You will work with shift teams to anticipate and resolve unplanned events, escalating issues when necessary.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in chemical manufacturing (or 3+ years military experience if no degree), and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with overtime including holidays and weekends. A valid US driver?s license is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Chemical Manufacturing operations or 3+ years military experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift schedule and overtime including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating policies and procedures to ensure safe, reliable operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions, performance metrics, and control systems; make decisions to maintain desired rates and conditions.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and complete required training.
• Conduct shift relief and handoffs to arriving team.
• Identify improvements and participate in change-management processes to enhance plant performance.
