Dow Inc. is hiring an Operations Operator in Orange, Texas, to run plant areas safely and reliably. You will monitor process equipment, respond to unplanned events with a focus on performance, and participate in emergency response trainings.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years in chemical manufacturing. You must be able to work 12-hour shifts and overtime, have a valid US driver's license, and be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Competenze

• 2+ years of experience in an operations role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 12-hour shift schedule and work overtime as required, including holidays and weekends.
• Must have valid US driver’s license and ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available.

Mansioni

• Follow Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring process conditions, key performance metrics, field equipment and control systems.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend all required training (Fire Response, HAZMAT, Medical, etc)
• Conduct effective shift relief, ensuring communication and handoff to arriving shift team
• Use process knowledge to improve plant performance and operating discipline; identify improvements and communicate through correct channels
• Maintain qualifications in assigned areas and complete training goals in a timely manner
• Mentor and train new and existing operations personnel on process operation and troubleshooting
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks arising from unplanned events
• Perform Immediate Response/Severe Weather Response activities as assigned
