Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Chemical Operator for our Fort Scott, KS site to safely prepare, weigh, charge, mix, and process raw materials to meet batch specifications. You will work with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams and follow GMP, SOPs, and safety protocols to ensure accurate documentation and on-time targets.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, chemical operator certification, 5+ years in chemical manufacturing, and experience with PLC-controlled equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Chemical Operator certification 1 & 2 or equivalent training.
• At least 5 years in chemical/industrial manufacturing.
• GMP/ISO/Kosher/NSF knowledge and compliance.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Independently measure, stage, and charge raw materials per batch sheets.
• Operate mixers, blenders, reactors, pumps, scales and related equipment.
• Adjust process parameters to meet product specifications.
• Record batch data accurately and maintain documentation.
• Start, monitor, and shut down equipment safely.
• Inspect equipment and address maintenance issues.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and PPE rules.
• Perform in-process quality checks and sample labeling.
• Notify Lead/Quality Manager of deviations promptly.
• Maintain 5S and a clean, compliant workspace.
