Kelly Services in Savannah, GA seeks a Chemical Operator to join a premier manufacturing client. The role offers a $28.00/hour pay rate with 24/7 rotating shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) and overtime as required.

You will operate major plant equipment, support process operations, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement. The position requires 1+ year in production manufacturing (3 years preferred), a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills with SAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a production manufacturing environment (3 years as a chemical operator preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to work 24/7 rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Basic computer skills and SAP knowledge.
• Demonstrate good work habits, including attendance, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate major plant equipment and processes including pumps, valves, filters, screens, compressors, and dryers.
• Operate a forklift and handle materials as required.
• Participate in system improvement and troubleshoot equipment to avoid shutdowns.
• Maintain equipment, keep records, and interpret instructions in various formats.
• Support team members with chemical process operations, loading/unloading tank trucks and rail cars, and other duties.
• Perform analytical testing to ensure product quantity and quality.
• Identify and report safety concerns and adhere to safety protocols.
