Job summary

Milliken Chemical Plant in Gainesville, FL is seeking a motivated Chemical Operator to join the manufacturing team. The role reports to a Chemical Supervisor and focuses on safe operation, setup, cleaning of process equipment, and compliance with SOPs in a 12-hour shift pattern.

You will gain hands-on experience with SAP, Excel and label printing, handle drums and bags safely, and contribute to production goals while learning certificates to progress to higher pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and handle pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to lift 50 pounds and wear a full-face respirator.
• Experience with Windows-based software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with SOPs and manuals and perform operator duties.
• Setup, operate and clean chemical process equipment; demonstrate competency in vessels.
• Understand workflow, product flow and terminology for new assignments.
• Disassemble/assemble process filters as directed by supervisors.
• Handle process paperwork including SAP, Excel and label printing systems.
• Maintain neat and organized workstations with minimum supervision.
• Perform sampling, weighing and labeling procedures accurately.
• Operate heating/cooling systems and related control equipment.
• Complete procedural batch sheets without errors.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow supervisor instructions.
