Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced Chemical Manufacturing Operations Manager for its Bio-Rubber Process Research Center in Southeast Mesa, Arizona.

This role blends management and hands-on process engineering to ensure safe, reliable operation of a 24/5 pilot plant dedicated to natural rubber extraction from Guayule. You will lead a process team, drive continuous improvement, coordinate with EHSS, maintenance, engineering and labs, and guide scale-up from lab to pilot to commercial.

Qualifications

• BSCE or closely related field required.
• PSM experience including MOC, PSSR, PHA, MI, SOPs, root cause investigations, safety programs.
• Basic understanding of ladder and function block logic.
• Five years operations management experience in a PSM plant.
• Ten years overall experience in a PSM plant.
• Process scale-up experience.
• Must have good engineering technical skills.

Responsibilities

• EHSS & PSM compliance of the process team.
• Lead production scheduling and supervise the process team.
• Collaborate with EHSS, maintenance, engineering, lab and contractors to fulfill duties.
• Lead advanced process troubleshooting and scale-up activities.
• Provide input on annual operating budgets for the process area and manage to the budget.
