Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Mesa, AZ, is seeking an Operations Manager for the Bio-Rubber Process Research Center. The role combines management and technical duties to lead the process team, ensure safe plant operations, and coordinate with EHSS, maintenance, engineering, and labs.

You will oversee production schedules, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and help scale processes from lab to pilot to commercial. A BS in Chemical Engineering and rigorous PSM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• PSM experience including MOC, PSSR, PHA, MI, SOPs, root cause investigations and safety programs is required.
• Five years operations management experience in a PSM plant is preferred.
• Ten years overall experience in a PSM plant is preferred.
• Process scale-up experience is required.

Responsibilities

• EHSS & PSM compliance of the process team and reporting to EHSS.
• Lead, participate in and document risk assessments, PSSR’s, MOC’s, root cause investigations and HazOp’s.
• Generate production/sample/trial schedules and supervise the process team.
• Oversee day-to-day activities and drive continuous improvement of production methods and equipment performance.
• Provide input to annual operating budgets and manage to the budget.
• Interface with Maintenance and Corporate R&D to scale processes and support capital projects.
