The University of New Mexico is seeking a Chemical Inventory Student to support the Environ Health & Safety department. You will inventory chemicals, upload records to the inventory system, and assist with data entry and barcode processes.
Based at Main - Albuquerque, NM, this student role requires enrollment at UNM, half-time status, and adherence to Work Study progress rules. Responsibilities include weekly meetings, scheduling visits, and handling waste inventory alongside staff.

Under limited supervision, conducts inventories of chemicals used in laboratories, studios, and makerspaces. Uploads the inventory to UNM's web-based chemical inventory management system.
The job includes, but is not limited to:
Data entry
Weekly check-in meetings
Scheduling and conducting on-site visits
Assist staff in the warehouse with waste inventory
Barcoding and entering new chemicals into the web-based system
Other job-related duties as assigned
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
