Simon Roofing is a roofing industry leader with over 125 years in business and 66 locations across the USA. This Chemical Engineering Intern role supports testing of architectural coatings, lab data analysis, and day-to-day plant operations at our Struthers location in Ohio.

The paid internship offers hands-on experience, opportunities to learn, and a path to advance in compensation and responsibility within an established industrial company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 semester of prior lab experience.
• BS of Chemistry OR Chemical Engineering preferred and one semester of laboratory experience.
• Ability to organize time and perform multiple routine tasks in a specific application area.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbal/written observations, results of experiments and test details.

Responsabilités

• Perform mathematical calculations using computer and/or calculator.
• Prepare samples.
• Perform and report statistical analysis of lab data.
• Assemble/ disassemble and maintain plant equipment.
• Record data using accepted manufacturing protocols and methods.
• Participate in planning and strategic plant situations.
• Demonstrated physical ability to perform necessary duties of position.
