Blair Rubber Co. is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer Co-Op in Seville, OH. The role offers hands-on experience with industry-leading manufacturing of roofing membranes and rubber linings, contributing to safe, efficient production.

The ideal candidate is a Chemical Engineering student at Sophomore–Senior level, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with ERP and MS Office. Local Ohio candidates eligible for a full-time co-op, with potential for future internship

Qualifications

Current or rising undergraduate in Chemical Engineering (Sophomore, Junior or Senior).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with operations and safety teams.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering projects utilizing sound design principles.
Work with operations to identify and implement safety and production CI initiatives.
Create work instructions and perform job hazard analyses for areas on the production floor.
Participate in safety improvements for equipment and continuous quality improvements for processes.
Create layouts and process diagrams to support standardization and CI.
Identify hazards by analyzing jobs and their tasks.
Assist in ensuring site compliance with corporate process standards.
Identify potential areas of product improvement and assist with solutions.
Assist with routine duties and adapt to production environments as needed.
