Job summary

Chemours in Parkersburg, WV seeks a Chemical Engineer to join the Manufacturing Technology team at Washington Works. The role provides engineering guidance, supports operations, maintenance and technology teams, and leads improvements in yield, uptime, reliability, cost and safety.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Chemical Engineering, 2+ years of engineering experience, and knowledge of typical plant equipment; strong communication and PPE compliance are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of typical chemical plant equipment (pumps, piping, reactors, etc.).
• Two years or more of engineering experience; willingness to wear required PPE.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Chemical Engineering resource for operations, maintenance and technology teams.
• Recommend and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting in the plant.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations.
• Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA).
• Lead capital projects for improvements.
• Provide environmental support; travel less than 10%.
