Job summary

NUWAY Alliance is hiring a Chemical Dependency Technician in Minneapolis to support clients through admission to discharge. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, supervise client behavior, and assist counselors in achieving program goals while handling crises calmly.

Ideal candidates have First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration certs, and the ability to document in English. The role emphasizes confidentiality, ethical practice, and respectful engagement with diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification and Medication Administration certificate (Residential only) obtained within 30 days of starting work.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Physical Demands: sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and able to navigate facilities.
• Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients from admission through discharge as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise and manage client behavior and help manage crises when necessary.
• Assist on-duty counselors in direct support of program goals and objectives.
• Respond to medical emergencies in a professional and therapeutic manner.
• Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and regulations.
