Job summary

BayMark Health Services’ outpatient program in Kentucky seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through medically assisted treatments and crisis coping strategies. You will conduct individual and group sessions and collaborate with doctors and nurses to support recovery.

You will participate in intake, develop treatment plans, assess progress, and create aftercare and discharge plans, with AI-supported documentation tools to streamline notes and administration.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Kentucky TCADC, CADC, CADCI, CADCII, LADC, or LCADC license.
• Previous experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
• Demonstrates a positive, non-judgmental, accepting attitude toward patients.
• Knowledge of EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake process.
• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours at scheduled intervals; coordinate services.
• Facilitate, establish and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with intake process
• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must hold a TCADC, CADC, CADCI, CADCII, LADC, or LCADC in the state of Kentucky
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Knowledge of EMR preferred
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
