Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. (MedMark Treatment Centers) seeks a Compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor to assist patients through medically assisted treatments and teach coping strategies for opioid use disorder.

You will conduct individual and group sessions, evaluate progress, and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to support recovery goals. The role includes developing treatment and discharge plans, performing bio-psychosocial assessments, and delivering

Qualifications

• Ohio licensure in substance use counseling (CDCA/LCDC/LPC/LSW) is required.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Ability to work non-judgmentally with diverse patients.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through medically assisted treatments.

Compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor Needed!

Position Overview

The Substance Use Counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients' progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients' achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities

• Substance u use counselor will be in charge of assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction.
• Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.
• Counselor will evaluate patients' progress during counseling and in collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients' achieving overall outcome.
• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients in trauma informed manner
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications

• Must possess an Ohio CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LPC, or LSW.
• Previous experience working with c hemically dependent individuals is preferred
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records)
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
