Job summary

BayMark Health Services, MedMarkTreatment Centers in Louisville, KY, is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and counseling.

You will conduct individual and group sessions, help assess progress, and collaborate with doctors and nurses to optimize recovery outcomes while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Must hold Kentucky licensure as TCADC/CADC/CADCI/CADCII/LADC/LCADC
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients
• Knowledge of EMR preferred and background check completed

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake process

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Position Overview

Substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake process
• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications

• Must hold a TCADC, CADC, CADCI, CADCII, LADC, or LCADC in the state of Kentucky
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
• Knowledge of EMR preferred
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
