BayMark Health Services seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through medically assisted programs and coping strategies for opioid addiction. The role includes individual and group sessions, collaboration with care teams, and ongoing assessment of progress in outpatient settings.
The ideal candidate holds CADC or is pursuing CADC within 2 years, with experience in chemically dependent populations, solid documentation skills, and EMR proficiency.
Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!
The Substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting programs and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Substance abuse counselor conducts group sessions and individual sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Additionally, Substance abuse counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during therapy. Substance abuse counselors may also need to collaborate with doctors, nurses and therapists for patients’ therapy and treatment for best overall outcome.
Salary set at $24.00 an hour. The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
