Company Description

Cafe 191 is a family owned 40 seat restaurant located on our cattle ranch in south central Montana. We are very proud of our family legacy and strive to uphold the trust our community has placed in us. We serve casual yet upscale menus for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. We have recently built an event venue building on the property hosting up to 150 guests. We offer full service catering including an all beverage liquor license. Melville is a generational family cattle ranching community with a small K-8 school and is home to Montana's oldest Lutheran Church congregation. Housing is found in nearby Big Timber or Harlowton. On-site housing may be available for the right candidate.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef and Line Cook at Cafe 191, located in Melville, MT. The Chef and Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Day-to-day duties will include planning and executing daily menus, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, managing kitchen inventory, and collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during operating hours.

Qualifications

• Culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene practices
• Inventory management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
