Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a leadership-focused manager to run Murray’s Cheese Shop inside the store. The role emphasizes cheese knowledge, guest service, team leadership, and promotional merchandising to elevate the customer experience.

You will train staff, manage inventory, coordinate weekly tastings and events, and ensure adherence to all food safety standards while driving sales and profits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience.
• Two-year culinary degree or equivalent supermarket/retail food experience preferred.
• Experience in food retail management and staff leadership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the Murray’s Cheese experience with interactive service and education.
• Lead knowledgeable, efficient staff trained in Murray’s operations.
• Ensure compliance with Harris Teeter and Murray’s policies and safety standards.
• Place orders, manage inventory, and set up in-store events and tastings.
• Drive sales, control shrink, and manage labor costs to meet budget goals.
