Job summary

Murray’s Cheese, part of Kroger, is seeking a store leadership role to create an exceptional cheese experience. You’ll oversee interactive customer service, education, merchandising, and weekly in-store events, while modeling company values and driving sales.

You will lead a trained team, ensure food safety and standards, manage inventory, and coach staff toward budget goals. Strong communication, multi-tasking, and Excel/Word proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail or food service setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multi-task and meet store goals.
• Willingness to learn and drive cheese business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the Murray’s Cheese experience: interactive customer service, education, cross-selling, merchandising, promoting products.
• Lead trained staff in Murray’s operations and products.
• Enforce Kroger and Murray’s policies, standards and procedures.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Place orders and manage inventory.
• Organize weekly in-store selling events.
• Contribute to store goals for sales and profitability.
• Control labor costs through scheduling and supervision.
• Meet or exceed budgetary goals for Murray’s Cheese Shop.
• Coach direct reports and provide performance feedback.
