Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, and monitor all quality assurance standards. Work closely with the Deli/Baker Merchandising team and the Deli/Bakery department to create an engaging environment. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain product knowledge; respond to questions and make suggestions
• Offer product samples to customers
• Inform customers of Cheese Shop specials
• Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portion sizes
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and review "sell by" dates
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Maintain inventory and stocking conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and accidents
• Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
