Job description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards. Work closely with the Deli/Baker Merchandising team and the Deli/Bakery department to create an engaging environment for customers. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Gain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries
• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
• Provide fresh products as ordered, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and freshness
• Stock and inventory merchandise, report discrepancies
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers
• Maintain awareness of inventory and seasonal ads
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and accidents
• Manage conflicts professionally, act with honesty and integrity
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
