Job description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, and monitor and control all quality assurance standards. Work closely with the Deli/Baker Merchandising team and the Deli/Bakery department to create an engaging environment for customers. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills
• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Ability to handle stressful situations

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail experience

• Knowledge of products sold and ability to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions
• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
• Provide ordered products with correct portions to prevent shrinkage
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients
• Ensure product quality, freshness, and proper storage
