Job summary

Sanilac Creamery in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking energetic production staff to join our cheese and gelato team. This on-site, hands-on role involves working in a fast-paced, food-safe environment to craft our signature dairy products.

Shifts are typically 8 hours and include at least one weekend day. You will operate a 140-quart Hobart mixer, assist with washing and sanitizing equipment, and help with daily cheese making tasks.

Qualifications

• Interest in food production and working with dairy.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Comfortable working as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Food safety certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 140-quart Hobart mixer to prepare cheese spreads and related products
• Wash, sanitize, and set up equipment and work spaces for production
• Perform daily cheese making tasks including ladling, molding, washing, bagging, and flipping
• Label, store, and track products in freezers and coolers
• Maintain accurate batch and inventory records
• Follow all SOPs, HACCP protocols, and food safety standards
• Keep work spaces clean, safe, and sanitary
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in team huddles and events

Status: Full-Time or Part-Time (20–40 hours/week)

Compensation: Starting at $15.50/hour, depending on experience

Sanilac Creamery is a Michigan-based artisan dairy specializing in small-batch cheeses and gelato made with milk sourced from local family farms.
