Job summary

Oldham County Schools seeks an Assistant Coach to support head coach and athletic director across middle and high school sports. This paraprofessional stipend role reports to the Head Coach/Principal/Athletic Director and participates in coaching duties, practices, and game-day activities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 64 college hours or KHSAA training, CPR/first aid, and a criminal records check, with duties including promoting sports, organizing practices, and teaching

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 64 college semester hours or KHSAA training required.
• 21 years of age minimum.
• Criminal records check required by Kentucky law.
• First aid and CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of sport rules and guidelines required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with one or more sports.
• Read and follow oral and written directions.
• Explain rules, regulations and procedures.
• Lift heavy objects.
• Promote school sports in the community.
• Assist in planning and supervising practices.
• Model good sportsmanship and provide guidance.
• Check eligibility and insurance coverage.
