Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Front-End Team Member to ensure a seamless checkout experience for customers. You will scan items, process payments, bag groceries, assist customers, and maintain a clean, organized front-end area throughout a fast-paced shift.

Flexibility is important, with early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior cashier training and basic math skills are required, and customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ or 18+ depending on local/state requirements
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Create a smooth checkout experience for customers, scanning items and completing purchases
• Assist with bagging groceries and answering customer questions
• Keep the front-end area organized, clean, and running smoothly
• Rotate between tasks such as handling transactions, collecting carts, and restocking supplies
• Follow store policies, register procedures, and checkout processes
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow throughout the shift
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor to end each visit on a strong note
