This work-study role is for UT Austin undergraduates; requires reliability, attention to detail, and basic computer skills; shifts are Mon-Fri during business hours, about 15 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Ability to work independently following procedures and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage responsibilities during scheduled shifts.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Office applications, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk coverage during assigned shifts and serve as the first point of contact for department visitors.
• Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system.
• Respond to basic questions and direct visitors to appropriate resources.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Check out and track keys for department-controlled spaces.
• Assist with poster printing and copy requests.
• Scan, organize, and archive departmental records and documents.
• May assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
• May assist with departmental events as needed.
• May provide occasional support at the Academic Advising front desk.
• Complete other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
