Job summary

Experience Senior Living LLC. is seeking a Chauffeur/Driver to join our team in Florida. The role focuses on safe transportation of residents, assisting with mobility, and maintaining vehicle readiness to support daily activities and programs.

Responsibilities include driving a 12-passenger van, assisting residents, maintaining records, and coordinating with the Resident Experience Department. A valid CDL and MVRI compliance are required, with availability for varied schedules including weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years driving experience, preferably with a 12-passenger van.
• Commercial driver's license is required.
• Ability to operate various vehicle sizes and perform basic on-road maintenance.
• Knowledge of local streets within an 8-mile radius.
• Must meet Motor Vehicle Record policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 12-passenger van from the community to activities and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle safely.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraints to stabilize them during trips.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service the vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspections and maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents' apartments.
• Assist the Resident Experience Department in activities as needed.
• Ensure charges are submitted to the business office daily for travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record according to company guidelines.
• Handle emergency situations and provide basic First Aid.
• Report potentially unsafe conditions to the Executive Director.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

• Drive a 12-passenger van from the community to activities and other destinations according to assigned schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs.
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs, as well as maintain records regarding the maintenance of all vehicles.
• Deliver groceries and other belongings to residents' apartments.
• Assist the Resident Experience Department in activities and programs as needed.
• Ensure charges are submitted to the business office daily for community travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Handle emergency situations and basic First Aid.
• Report potentially unsafe conditions to the Executive Director.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two (2) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of driving experience preferably with a 12-passenger van and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
• Commercial driver's license is required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus, unless otherwise required by ESL or state law. Able to operate a limousine or car, tire changing equipment, First Aid Kit, wheelchair lift, and dollies/hand trucks.
• Experienced with vehicle emergency repairs, able to change automobile tires and handle minor on-road maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.
• Connect and help residents transition from home to community through thoughtful engagement at every level of interaction
• Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
