Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Coburg, OR is seeking a talented Chassis Technician to complete troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop, while coaching and developing less experienced technicians.

The position offers a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, competitive pay and benefits. You will diagnose and repair chassis systems, perform preventive maintenance, use electronic diagnostic tools and service manuals, document work orders and warranty claims, and mentor

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of chassis systems, diagnostics, repair and maintenance.
Ability to perform complex troubleshooting using electronic service tools and diagnostic software.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, exhaust, aftertreatment, driveline and control systems.
Experience documenting repairs, diagnostics and maintenance in service management systems.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and complex repairs on chassis and related vehicle systems.
Complete preventive maintenance and inspections on chassis components to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
Utilize electronic diagnostic tools, service manuals, and other technical resources to accurately identify and resolve issues.
Complete service documentation, work orders, warranty claims, and repair records accurately and timely.
Coach and support junior technicians and apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures while promoting a strong safety culture.
Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and expand technical skills.
