The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a School Social Worker for our part-time, school-based team in Minneapolis, MN. You will support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success by counseling, collaborating with families and educators, and connecting them with community resources.

This role includes assessments, intervention planning, crisis intervention, and participation in IEP/504/MTSS meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• State Social Worker licensure or certification required.
• PELSB licensure/certification expected per state requirements.
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of special education processes and MTSS.
• Strong communication, collaboration, crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with students, families, educators and community agencies.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Conduct assessments and identify barriers to learning and school participation
• Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, counselors, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student support team meetings as appropriate
• Connect students and families with school and community resources
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation
• Support attendance initiatives, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional learning programs
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations regarding student services

As a School Social Worker, you will collaborate with students, families, educators, and community partners to identify barriers to learning, provide counseling and support services, and connect students with resources that promote educational achievement and overall well-being.
