Chariot is seeking a Chariot Labs Engineer based in New York City to drive the development of automated systems that will transform how philanthropy operates online. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies and directly impact the growth of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in programming and product management, bringing a self-starter attitude to create innovative solutions. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare, generous PTO, and equity options.
Over the past 2 years, Chariot has grown 1300% YoY. As we continue to scale from tens of thousands of nonprofits to hundreds of thousands, our systems, particularly those used by our GTM, Ops, and Compliance teams, need to evolve from manual or semi‑automated to fully automated, well‑architected and engineered. That's where this role comes in: Chariot Labs is our internal brain helping our full company adopt cutting edge software and tools that will power our next phase of growth. You will write code, build AI agents, and put together internal systems either from v1 to v100 or fully from scratch. You'll work directly with senior leadership and cross functional teams to translate strategy into automated workflows, programmatic outbound, and custom internal tools. If you want to configure simple CRM layouts all day, this is not for you. If you want to break down the question of if a CRM is even needed in the age of AI and build a prototype of what workflows might be possible without a CRM, you’re going to love this role.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who cares deeply about simplicity, usability, and shipping - and wants to use their skills to make a tangible impact in the world. At Chariot, you’ll have the rare opportunity to work on 0 to 1 products, contribute to a thoughtful and fast‑moving team, and shape the future of how philanthropy happens online.
At Chariot, we are building modern, end‑to‑end payment infrastructure making donors’ lives easier and nonprofits’ lives better. $600B gets donated to charity each year in the US and the existing technology and infrastructure was still built for our grandparents generation. We change that.
Traction: Annualizing over $1.8B in payment volume with Chariot. Tens of thousands of nonprofits already onboarded including American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania.
Impact: That money serves nonprofits working in homelessness, health, education, the environment, and more.
Market opportunity: Billion dollar revenue opportunity, fintech company operating in an untapped $600B market.
The Team: Over 30% of our employees are former founders. NYC office, in person Monday through Thursday, WFH Friday.
Range: $140,000 - $200,000 + Equity Upside.
