Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC seeks a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) with telemetry expertise to join our 21-bed unit on 12-hour night shifts. The role includes direct patient care, supervision of staff, and collaboration with a strong interdisciplinary team.

Applicants must hold an active NC RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS within specified timelines, and 2–3 years telemetry experience; charge experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• 2–3 years of Telemetry experience required.
• Charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
