Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry to join a 21-bed telemetry unit with 4:1 patient ratio, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation. A $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus is offered.

The role emphasizes leadership, direct patient care, and collaborative care within a strong interdisciplinary team. Qualified applicants have an active NC RN license (or compact), BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, and 2–3 years

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• 2–3 years Telemetry experience required.
• Charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process per standards of practice.
• Supervises nursing and support staff during shifts to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Performs patient assessments and identifies needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Maintains age-appropriate care.
• Documents medical necessity in the patient record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely QI assessments.
