Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is seeking an RN Telemetry to join our 24-bed cardiac unit on a night shift. This full-time role features 12-hour shifts, a 4:1 patient ratio, self-scheduling, and every-other-weekend rotation to support work-life balance.

You will perform nursing assessments, implement care plans, document medical necessity, and support cardiology procedures and telemetry monitoring.

Qualifications

• A current state RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• One year of Telemetry or Cardiac experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record.
• Completes and revises Interdisciplinary Care Plans for patients.
• Performs timely QI assessments.
