Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan and implement professional nursing care on the 5 South Medical Telemetry/Oncology Unit. Relocation assistance is available.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, and work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing services on a 36-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio. Active NC RN licensure or compact licensure is required, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient and identifies patient care needs
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care
• Administers medication as ordered by physician
• Establishes collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with Health System staff
• Monitors the quality of care based on outcome-oriented indicators
• Adjusts care based upon age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs of patients
• Functions as charge nurse as assigned
• Maintains an accurate and relevant record of patient care
