Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a dedicated nurse to plan and implement professional nursing care in alignment with hospital policies. The role includes assuming charge nurse responsibilities as assigned and working within 8 South on a 34-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• RN licensure in North Carolina or a compact state.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient and identifies patient care needs.
• Uses patient assessment information to organize appropriate patient care.
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Facilitates a safe environment.
• Maintains required competencies.
• Functions as charge nurse as assigned.
• Maintains an accurate and relevant record of patient care.
• Administers medication as ordered by physician.
• Recognizes life threatening situations and responds appropriately.
