Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse on the 5 South Medical Telemetry/Oncology unit in Fayetteville, NC. Relocation assistance is available.

The ideal candidate holds NC LPN licensure (or a compact state) with 1–2 years of related clinical experience; BLS may be required. You will participate in assessments, medication administration, and care planning with a collaborative health-team

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Current NC LPN licensure or compact state licensure is required.
• 1–2 years of related clinical experience preferred.
• BLS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in assessment of patient.
• Collaborates with care teams to develop and follow the patient plan of care.
• Administers medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintains patient care documentation and records.
• Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per protocol.
• Supports compliance with HIP and hospital policies.
• Fosters patient satisfaction and collaborates with multidisciplinary staff.
