Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily patient assignments.
• Round with physicians and update care plans.
• Serve as point of contact for physicians and administrators.
• Be a resource to staff nurses, nursing assistants, monitors, techs and unit secretaries.
• Assist with procedures and double-check orders.
• Perform daily quality control and equipment checks on unit.
• Evaluate daily patient acuity and adjust care as needed.
• Assist with staff performance evaluations and schedule development.
• Support clinical education in the absence of a Clinical Educator/Preceptor.
• Communicate with Care Coordinator and discharge planning teams.
• Interface with nursing supervisors and patient placement.
