Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, NV is seeking an ICU nurse leader to supervise patient care and nursing staff on the unit. You will collaborate with staff, physicians, and the Program Director to ensure evidence-based nursing practices and policy compliance. A current state RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school are required.

BLS is required; ACLS and PALS are required. One year of experience is preferred; ASLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
