Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an ICU nurse supervisor to oversee patient care and nursing staff. The role involves directing nursing practice, ensuring policy compliance, and collaborating with physicians and the Program Director.

Required current RN license and ADN or nursing degree, plus BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Experience preferred; ASLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
  • Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
  • Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
  • Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
  • Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Our ICU Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
  • Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
  • Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
  • Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
  • Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • ACLS and PALS are required.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS certification preferred.
